Plan your transport

A site plan often shows several possible handover points: goods receiving, hall gate and stand area are not the same thing. Mark the point you want and who takes over afterwards. Without this boundary, the transport provider and build crew can easily both assume the other side is handling the last few metres.

Three typical handover points

First: at the gate or goods receiving of the grounds, after which on-site logistics or your team takes over. Second: at the hall or hall gate. Third: on the stand area, provided the venue allows transport vehicles and their staff to do this. Each option has different requirements for time windows, handling equipment and staff; we quote the chosen option explicitly.

What ‘delivered to stand’ requires

For delivery onto the stand area, access, floor load capacity, hall rules and, where needed, forklift or pallet truck use must be clarified. Exhibitor documents often specify who may operate handling equipment inside the hall. We clarify these points before quoting.

What matters

  • The desired end point is named: gate, hall or stand area.
  • It is agreed who takes over from the handover point.
  • Additional routes on the grounds are explicitly requested.
