Plan your transport

A small exhibit in a large protective crate takes up more space than its product size suggests; many individual items, on the other hand, can form one compact load unit. Price comparisons should therefore be based on the actual shipping condition. Number of products or value of goods alone do not describe the transport effort.

The main cost factors

Load space and vehicle, depending on package dimensions, weight and stackability; route and timing, especially fixed delivery windows; the handover point – gate, hall or stand area; required handling equipment; possible waiting time at the venue; the return journey with its own quantity and destination; additional routes such as extra pickup points. We show each of these items in the quotation or mark it as open.

Example: two variants of the same shipment

Illustrative scenario: the same four crates go to the same fair. Variant A ends at the venue’s goods receiving, after which on-site logistics takes over. Variant B is to go onto the stand area and needs hall access, handling equipment and more time on site. The journey is the same; the scope is not. If you request both variants, the quotation shows exactly which tasks make the difference.

What matters

  • The shipment scope is based on packed dimensions and weights.
  • Requested time windows are marked as fixed or flexible.
  • Conditions at the collection and handover points are described.
