Stating the weight of event shipments

The weight of the main unit is rarely the weight of the package. For vehicle choice, handling equipment and unloading at the fairground, we need the gross weight per package – including case, pallet and accessories, clearly separating weighed values from estimates.

Plan your transport

A total weight only helps if its make-up remains visible. Do not count packaging twice if it is already included in a confirmed gross value. With several similar boxes, the weight of one light sample box must not be applied to all of them. List heavy single items separately – they often decide which handling equipment is needed.

What matters

Every package has a gross weight including packaging.
Heavy single items are listed separately with their weight.
Estimated values are clearly marked as estimates.

Good to know

Plan your transport

May I estimate weights at first?

Yes, an estimate is fine for an initial enquiry as long as it is identifiable as such. Replace it with weighed values before the transport is agreed. That way the quotation fits the actual shipment and handling equipment at the venue is planned correctly.

Transport solutions

Delivering promotional material to a trade fair

We deliver brochures, catalogues and promotional items to your exhibition stand. Printed matter is heavier than its volume suggests, so we plan with the actual total weight and separate handout material from leftovers that go back.

Transporting palletised exhibition goods

We deliver your palletised exhibition goods to the fairground and back if required. The pallet count is a good start; for a reliable quotation we also need the total height, side overhangs and the weight of each loaded pallet.

Agreeing extra quantities before exhibition transport

Extra boxes or another exhibit added just before the fair? Report additional quantities in good time with updated dimensions and weights. We check whether vehicle and process still fit and explicitly confirm the adjusted scope.
