Location and handover point
In Hannover, distinguish the agreed goods entrance from administration or the billing address. At a site with several buildings, assign each part shipment to its building or gate.
Planning example for this task
For an exhibit at a stand, the receiving team must know whether to expect a packed item or an object ready for placement. Align the handover point with setup and identify who repacks after the event.
Separate vehicle access from the last part of the move
First document the accessible handover point. If the goods must go further into the building, add distance, doors, floor, lift and the responsible person. A city address does not imply delivery to the installation position.
What matters
- Confirm the actual goods entrance
- Record contact and handover scope for each site
- Match exhibits to package numbers
- Assign receipt and repacking to named people
- Record return quantities and destination separately
If a handover point is an event venue
Explain which materials the Hanover stand team needs first. Match crates and pallets to the assembly sequence and identify fragile exhibits. Separately describe when empty packaging will be needed and who releases the packed goods after dismantling.
Sources and their scope
Sources describe countries or individual locations. They do not confirm a transport service or an available date. Access and execution must be agreed for the actual job.
The 2026 regulations assign loading and on-site forwarding to authorised exhibition forwarders; Deutsche Messe itself does not accept consignments.
