Location and handover point

Jeddah and Dammam are different locations in Saudi Arabia’s port system. A shipment for several receivers should therefore be described more precisely than with one country name. Allocate quantities, weights and preferred receiving dates to each address. State whether a shared handover point is sufficient or separate deliveries are required. This breakdown allows potential arrival points and currently available onward movements to be assessed as one coordinated sequence.

Planning example for this task

Assign exhibits and stand material to the actual place of use. Mark in one list what stays and what returns; this creates a separate quantity basis for both directions.

Where does the requested leg end?

Separate a possible terminal point from the final address. For each handover, identify who releases and receives the goods and who arranges the next move. A port name alone does not define a transport route.

What matters

  • Allocate the relevant packages to each receiving address.
  • Specify a shared handover or separate deliveries.
  • Mark mandatory ports and flexible receiving dates for each destination.
  • Match exhibits to package numbers
  • Assign receipt and repacking to named people
  • Record return quantities and destination separately
Sources and their scope

Sources describe countries or individual locations. They do not confirm a transport service or an available date. Access and execution must be agreed for the actual job.
